Lingota has invested in a specialized high-tec studio for digitizing fine art. Located in Geneva, Switzerland, we are aiming at becoming a regional center of excellence. By using with a very high resoluitoin studio camera (380 Mega Pixels), we are able to capture an image of the original artwork within a matter of minutes.
This is a specialized procedure - which differentiates it from a digital photograph. We also make measurements of the colors present in the original with a photo-spectrometer (Photo Research PR655). This information is then integrated into the image.
The image can then be used for producing a high quality life size print with the sharpness and colors of the original.
